back in the saddle

I got out of the habit. I think that I am going to shoot for a twice weekly posting.

Right now, the biggest thing that I have to discuss is the recent decisions by the school board to close 4 elementary schools. I am certainly pleased that they closed them as soon as they did. It is horrible for the families that are seeing the communities that they have invested in be disrupted so awfully. While it must have been tough for the board to "pull the trigger" on these families, it must be even worse to be on the receiving end of that decision.

I am glad that the decision won't be lingering further, leaving so many families in a sense of uncertainty. Now everyone can move on and assess their plans for next year.
